Be Brilliant Campaign
The Be Brilliant marketing campaign launched in 2023 after more than a year of research and collaboration. Building upon previous messaging to “Ignite the Power Within,” the new campaign takes inspiration from the flame of knowledge, or “flaming W,” within the ¶¶Òô³Ô¹Ï shield. But now that light emanates from our amazing students, faculty, staff and alumni, shining a light on their accomplishments and illustrating that you, too, can Be Brilliant.
Shield Usage Guidelines
- The shield should be used sparingly and with intention, we want to be mindful of oversaturation and only use it when we are putting our best foot forward.
- Do not use the isolated shield mark in addition to a shield-treated photo, or vice versa. There should only be one shield used apart from the ¶¶Òô³Ô¹Ï signature logo.
- It’s okay to not use the shield on photos that don’t support the concept.
- The shield should only be used with great photos, please do not use the shield to elevate a poor image. Photos should display the following attributes:
- Nice lighting (no dark images).
- Not too busy (shallow depth of field images are ideal).
- Plenty of contrast so the shield stands off the photo.
- Please avoid stock imagery if at all possible when using the shield, these treatments should be authentic, and speak to the value of Weber State.
- Please run treated images by Marketing & Communications. If you need our support in generating a treated photo, we’d be happy to help.
- The shield should be used in conjunction with the Be Brilliant messaging.
