The Women & Gender Studies Program offers tuition and book scholarships each year (as funds are available) for Women & Gender Studies and Queer Studies Minors.

Phoenix Achievement Scholarship
The Phoenix Achievement Scholarship was established by a private donor to support students minoring in the Women & Gender Studies or Queer Studies Program at ¶¶Òô³Ô¹Ï, and enhance the education students about women and gender issues generally across campus.
The scholarship is awarded annually to one or more students with a declared minor in the Women and Gender or Queer Studies Program. It can be used to fund tuition, fees, and/or books for the qualified student(s). Preference will go to non-traditional students, defined as 25 years of age or older. If there is not a non-traditional student who meets the following criteria, the scholarship can then be awarded to a traditional student who participates in the Women & Gender Studies Program.
Phoenix Achievement Scholarship Criteria:
- Enrolled as a full-time student (12 hours or more) leading to a degree.
- Has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Is a participant in Women and Gender Studies. (For example, has declared WGS or QS minor, taken WGS/QS classes) (preference will be given to WGS or QS declared minors)

Is 25 years of age or older. (non-traditional student).
Traditional Scholarship
The Women & Gender Studies traditional scholarship will be awarded to a traditional student (age 26 or younger) who meets the following criteria. It may be used for tuition and fees.
Traditional Scholarship Criteria:
- Enrolled as a full-time student (12 hours or more) leading to a degree.
- Is a traditional student who is age 26 or less.
- Has declared a minor in Women and Gender or Queer Studies.
- Has a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
This Women & Gender Scholarship Application Form (now a Qualtrics Survey) must be also be completed and will require short essay answers to the following prompts:
- What are your professional plans with regard to Women & Gender or Queer Studies?
- Why do you feel you qualify for this scholarship? What will it enable you to do?
- What financial reasons do you have, if any, for applying for this scholarship?
- What have you learned from WGS 1500 and how your learning outcomes have connected to your area of Major study.
**Note: These scholarships may be used at ¶¶Òô³Ô¹Ï only.
